A daiquiri chain that started in Atlanta is making its return to the area this summer.

Fat Tuesday, a sister concept of New Orleans Original Daiquiris, is set to open at the Battery in the next few months. The 1,118 square-foot space will be located across from El Super Pan, on the corner of Battery Walk and Legends Place.

The shop specializes in frozen drinks “offered in a casual, conversational atmosphere,” according to a press release.

Flavors include 190 Octane, Hurricane, Pina Colada, Strawberry, Jungle Juice, Bellini and Margarita. Customers can combine flavors and choose from several sizes of souvenir cups, and also get their drinks to-go from a walk-up counter.

Fat Tuesday opened its since-shuttered first location in Atlanta in 1984 and has since expanded with more than shops across the U.S., Mexico, Honduras and Puerto Rico.

“The convenient walk-up counter-serve layout at Fat Tuesday is perfect for visitors to grab a cold drink before or after enjoying one of the many shopping and entertainment options,” said Fat Tuesday EVP of Development Jeremy Strife in a prepared statement. “Our dining concepts are sought out especially for their uniquely curated beverage programs and Fat Tuesday’s popular frozen cocktails build on that trend.”

Fat Tuesday will join the Battery's many other food and beverage concepts including Garden & Gun Club, Superica, Wahlburgers, Yard House and mini food hall Ph'east.
