About a year and a half after announcing its intentions to open a brick-and-mortar location , Emerald City Bagels has finally opened its doors in East Atlanta.

Located in the former Gravity Pub space at 1257 Glenwood Ave. SE, the shop sells a variety of bagels, spreads and coffee, as well as breakfast sandwiches and sodas. The space features an oven and kettle that allows customers to look on as the bagels are made.

Run by Deanna Halcrow and her daughter Jackie, Emerald City Bagels has operated as a pop-up in Cabbagetown on Sundays and at the Green Market in Piedmont Park on Saturdays, as well as selling wholesale to local restaurants including Home Grown, Joe’s Coffee Shop and The Earl.

Emerald City is set to get a new neighbor on the block later this year in the form of a still-unnamed restaurant Paces Property restaurant, in the former My Sister's Room space at 1271 Glenwood Ave. SE.
