A well-known diner has closed its doors.

Landmark Diner Jr. closed earlier this week at 2277 Cheshire Bridge Road, Tomorrow's News Today first reported. General manager Anastasios "Tommy" Tzikas confirmed the closure, saying one of the partners in the eatery wanted to retire and also that the restaurant's lease was up and the decision was made not to renew.

Landmark Diner Jr. opened in 2005, joining a Buckhead Landmark Diner location on Roswell Road as well as one in downtown Atlanta on Luckie Street.

The Landmark restaurants offer a classic 24-hour diner menu featuring breakfast, lunch and dinner options in addition to coffee and desserts.

The exterior of Landmark Diner Jr. was used as a stand-in for fictional JJ's Diner on the NBC show "Parks & Recreation."
