Here are the openings, closings, things to buy, drink and read in and around Atlanta from the past week:

Openings and closings

Ten months after announcing her intention to open Atlanta's first cat cafe , April Hill has finally announced where Happy Tabby will be located. What Now Atlanta reports that the cafe will take up residence at 527 Irwin St. NE. The space, which Hill says once served as Martin Luther King Jr.'s barber shop, will serve pre-packaged food and coffee drinks and will have 15-2o cats on hand at a time, all available for adoption. The plan is to charge patrons a $5 cover for the pleasure of being surrounded by kitties while they sip coffee.

A similar concept, Java Cats cafe , is set to open next year in Grant Park.
