Hampton + Hudson, Venkman's revamp menus and other Atlanta food news from the week
Here’s what to eat, drink, buy, cook and more from the past week in metro Atlanta.

Restaurant news and events
Savannah Sasser has started her new post as executive chef at Hampton + Hudson in Inman Park after a several-year stint at Twain's in Decatur. The restaurant has also revamped its menu with new sharable appetizers, salads, flatbreads, entrees and desserts, as well as several vegan options. Dishes include a house-made pasta of the day, daily fresh fish, cured salmon deviled eggs, a Bee's Knees Burger, vegan spring vegetables and dumplings and H+H whoopie pie for dessert.
Old Fourth Ward spot Venkman's has revamped its dinner menu, with a focus on seasonal dishes and shared plates. Only two or three of the original dishes remain. Menu items include shrimp dumplings, mushroom rolls and spring greens.
Eduardo Porto Carreiro has joined Ford Fry Restaurants as the beverage manager for JCT Kitchen, the Optimist and Marcel. He previously served as beverage manager for restaurants in New York and Los Angeles.
