Since it began in 2010, King of Pops has grown from push carts to brick-and-mortar stores on Elizabeth Street and in Ponce City Market. Now, the frozen treat company is expanding to a larger facility in the Old Fourth Ward.

The 12,000-square-foot facility at 552 Decatur St. SE, is now under renovation as King of Pops prepares the space formerly occupied by A&R Ironworks into one fit for popsicle production.

To get a sneak peek at its future headquarters, King of Pops is opening its facility tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. for a walk through of the new space with co-owner Steven Carse. Details can be found on the King of Pops Facebook page.
