Chances are when you think QuikTrip, the first thing you think of is fueling up your car.

The Tulsa, Okla.-based company is hoping to change that with its first non-fuel store in the country, opening at 6 a.m. Thursday, June 23 at 855 Peachtree St., in the bottom floor of the Viewpoint building.

Why Atlanta?

The city is one of three of the chain's largest market, and "hit all the bells we were looking for" in a test market city, according to Chuck Barton, QuikTrip's vice president of marketing.

Why go fuel-less?

"We wanted to get into some areas of town where we couldn't put gasoline," Barton said. The concept targets city-dwellers looking for a convenient option for food and household items.

What will you find?

The store will feature the food and beverages offered at other QuikTrip locations (coffee drinks, flatbreads, smoothies, sweet frozen drinks, breakfast burritos, pizzas and toasted sandwiches), but will also be the first QuikTrip to feature made-to-order toasted subs.

When is it open?

Once the doors open to the public tomorrow, the QuikTrip will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
