To make up for the closures and all the recent food poisoning drama, the chain is giving customers the opportunity to snag a free burrito by texting the word "raincheck" to 888-222 (if you think it's a scam to get your personal information, don't worry too much -- all they ask you for in exchange is your name and zip code) until 6 p.m. today. You'll get a text message back for a free burrito within the next few days.
If the move wins back the hearts -- and stomachs -- of customers remains to be seen, but we've never met a freebie we didn't like.
