Brazilian coffeehouse and bar Buteco is saying "ola" to Grant Park.

The business opened at 7 a.m. this morning, serving coffee and pastries, and will start serving beer, caipirinhas and snacks starting at 4 p.m., according to a post on its Instagram account:

Buteco draws inspiration from owner Rafael Pereira's first job in his father's bakery in São Paolo, Brazil. The spot serves coffee, Brazilian comfort foods and beer, wine and cocktails.

The space seats 25 people indoors, with space for at least 40 more on the outdoor patio.

Buteco joins Beacon concepts Eventide Brewery and businesses including the soon-to-open Grant Park Public House, Third Street Market & Deli, and Maggie's Bistro as well as recently opened Mexican restaurant Patria Cocina.

Donald Trump's administration deployed the military to Washington, D.C., in the name of fighting crime, and in an Aug. 11 news conference he mentioned the possibility of military being sent to other large American cities, all of which are led by Black, Democratic mayors. And while Atlanta wasn't included in Trump's list, the city fits that profile under Mayor Andre Dickens. (Photo Illustration: Philip Robibero / AJC | Source: Getty)
