Georgia restaurants honored by Wine Spectator

Restaurants around Georgia are being honored for having some of the best wine selections in the world.

The winners of Wine Spectator's 2017 Restaurant awards were just announced and 57 Georgia restaurants made the list.

Wine Spectator awards the Award of Excellence to restaurants that feature a wine list that is comprised of a well-chosen assortment of quality producers. Some Atlanta restaurants that made were awarded the Award of Excellence include Atlas Buckhead , King +Duke, Marcel , Osteria Mattone , Sotto Sotto , St. Cecilia and di Paolo .

The Best of Award of Excellence is awarded to restaurants that offer an extensive selection that has significant vintage depth and breadth across multiple regions. Among the many Atlanta restaurants awarded the Best of Award of Excellence are  Aria , Barcelona Wine Bar , Canoe , Restaurant Eugene and White Oak Kitchen & Cocktails .

Globally, over 3,550 dining destinations were honored.
