Easter is this Sunday, April 5. An added perk for families? AJC found a few restaurants that offer complimentary meals for younger children. In addition to an array of brunch buffets or Easter meals at each of these restaurants, Easter egg hunts, petting zoos and special prizes will keep children engaged while you enjoy your meal. And with a $0 price tag, you don’t have to worry about a getting your money’s worth when the Easter bunny distracts your child from their plate.

This Asian sushi bar may not come to mind as a typical brunch spot, especially for Easter, but challenge the norm. When weather is nice, the covered patio opens up, making for an alfresco dining experience. In addition to omelet and ham carving stations, the restaurant’s blue ribbon sushi platters are filled with nigiri and California rolls. Unlimited mimosas and bloody Marys are $15. For the children, there’s always a chicken pasta dish or an assortment of breakfast muffins.

Family bonding is bound to happen when you’re taking turns dipping into creamy fondues. Melting Pot’s three-course menu is similar to their regular menu: start with a choice of cheese fondue like spinach artichoke, followed by a main meat to dip in sauce, such as filet mignon or chicken. A simpler menu with smaller portions will be available for children. Fondue isn’t complete without chocolate, and special Easter treats will also be featured for dipping. In addition to the fun that drippy fondue encourages, the Easter bunny will be hiding treats for guests at each table.

You can’t beat the backdrop of Piedmont Park and views of the Midtown skyline at Park Tavern. The weather promises to be sunny (for now) so snag a spot on the patio. You’ll find all the usual brunch suspects: a chef-attended “make-your-own-omelet’ station, French toast, carving stations for prime rib and ham, and Applewood smoked bacon. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance, followed by an Easter egg hunt at noon.

Parker’s on Ponce has been Decatur’s oldest independently-owned steakhouse. You’ll still find white tablecloths and dark wood, but the space is modern and doesn’t feel stuffy. With three dining rooms, your meal will feel more intimate as if you’re dining at home. The buffet will please adults with savory, juicy prime rib and ham carving stations, eggs benedict and whole poached salmon. But picky children will find their go-to favorites such as mac n’ cheese and fried chicken.
