A popular chain is putting down roots in Georgia.
Metro Diner is opening its first location in the state on Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 880 Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell.
The chain, which serves all-day breakfast, lunch and dinner, has more than 10 locations in Florida as well as spots in Indiana, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Indiana.
Metro Diner's menu features dishes including fried chicken and waffles, Charleston shrimp and grits, burgers, pot pies, sandwiches, salads, soups, omelets and desserts. Most dishes are priced under $15.
The Roswell spot, which has seating for 100, Metro Diner will be open Sunday to Thursday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
A pre-opening charity event will Saturday, Oct. 22 and Sunday, Oct. 23, with proceeds benefiting STAR House and The Drake House. Guests who donate $10 per person will get a sneak peek at the new eatery and get to sample Metro Diner dishes. Reservations can be made for the fundraiser for 1:30 p.m. or 4 p.m. to 7:30 pm. both days here.
