Dining options continue to grow in Peachtree Corners.

Last year saw the addition of notables like Noble Fin , Ba Bellies and popular Lawrenceville diner Peachtree Cafe . Earlier this month, restaurateur Mark Taft, whose  FEED Fried Chicken & Such recently opened at The Battery at SunTrust Park , announced that he'll bring that concept to the Town Center mixed-use development in Peachtree Corners in 2018.

Now, Andrew Hoppen, Peachtree Corners resident and owner of Mexican concept Taqueria del Mar, is poised to open a fine dining Italian restaurant in this neck of Gwinnett.

Osteria di Mare, which opens Oct. 1, will be located at 5005 Peachtree Parkway, in the space formerly occupied by the Double Eagle sports bar. The restaurant sits in a shopping center adjacent to that of Taqueria del Mar, which Hoppen has operated since 2013.

“When the prior operators approached me last June, I really had not considered a new restaurant.” Hoppen said. “But when I saw the beautiful space, and the absolutely stunning patio – and being a ‘foodie’, I saw a void in the local market and decided to do a fine Italian dining destination that focused on fresh seafood, prime steaks, and house-made pastas.”

Osteria di Mare will serve dinner Tuesdays through Sundays. It will also offer Sunday brunch.
