Guests will sample an array of food and drink at the annual Taste of Atlanta festival. For a five-course bourbon dinner, head to Buckhead. There are several fun, food events happening in metro Atlanta, so add one or all of the following activities to your calendar. Be prepared to eat, drink and have a grand ole time.

Wednesday, Oct. 17: Guest sommelier and Michael Mondavi Estate ambassador Jeff Burch will guide guests through a variety of wines from one of California's wine growing families beginning at 6 p.m. at Davio's Northern Italian Steakhouse. Featured wines will include Animo Cabernet Sauvignon 2013, Emblem Chardonnay 2016 and Emblem Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, all available a la carte by the ounce.

Thursday, Oct. 18: Guests will enjoy passed appetizers such as crispy farro and smoked rabbit followed by dishes including dry-rubbed stuffed quail with sweet potato gnocci, smoked leg of lamb and more during a five-course bourbon dinner at 7 p.m. at The Southern Gentleman. Bourbon pairings will include cocktails crafted with Blade and Bow, Bulleit Rye, I.W. Harper 15, Bulleit 10 Year and Johnny Walker Gold. Tickets, which are $132, can be purchased here.

Oct. 19-21: The 17th annual Taste of Atlanta food and drink festival will feature tastes from over 90 local restaurants plus on-stage cooking demos from top chefs, hands-on cooking classes and an all-inclusive Friday night kickoff party. The event will be held at the Historic Fourth Ward Park (680 Dallas St. NE, Atlanta). Tickets, which include entry and a select number of taste points, are $25 - $190 and can be purchased here. The event will be rain or shine.
