An Atlanta institution is closing its doors.

Famous Pub, which has been open in the Toco Hill Promenade at 2947 N Druid Hills Road NE since 1986, addressed the closure on Facebook:

Owner Tony Trzos bought the spot in 1986 when it was still Discount Deli, and turned it into its current incarnation, which shows nearly every sport on its more than 50 televisions and serves up pub fare and a large variety of beer and other drinks.

The bar also features trivia, karaoke, billiards and music video dance nights.

French restaurant Petite Auberge, which has been open in the same shopping center for 40 years, announced earlier this year that it will be moving by the end of this year. Owner Anthony Gropp said the mall's new owners "tried to make things work," but that the time was right for a move.
