Guests will eat, drink and party the night away to support the Cheer for Children Gala , a fundraising event for the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy (GCCA), which will be held from 7:30-11:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16 at American Spirit Works (199 Armour Drive). This year's theme is Helping Children Reach Their Happily Ever After.

Eat. Six chef stations will be presented by the Atlanta Chef's Association and popular executive chefs such as Ron Horgan from Pitty Pat's Porch and Ken Celmer from The Art Institute of Atlanta will be present. For the evening, guests will dine on dishes such as slow-roasted pork shoulder with fall mire poix puree and wild mushrooms, Moroccan seven vegetable tagine and Jamaican shrimp with roasted fall vegetables.

Drink. There will be an open bar as well as pairing with Joseph Jewell Vineyards and a Goza Tequila tasting all night long.

Party. The band, The Maxx!, will hit just the right notes to get the party started and keep it going throughout the evening. Additionally, guests will be able to bid on a bevy items local goods, services and destination trips during the live auction.

Tickets are $150 and may be purchased here. All of the funds raised from the event and auction support the GCCA, a center committed to championing the needs of sexually and physically abused children through prevention, intervention, therapy and collaboration.
