East Atlanta gets spicier with new Jamaican restaurant

Festivals Jerk Chicken Grill, a new fast, casual Jamaican restaurant, is bringing island life to East Atlanta.

The new restaurant opened last week at 925 Garrett Street in East Atlanta.

It specializes in jerk chicken, and offers a variety of traditional Caribbean dishes for lunch and dinner.  Diners can expect half- and whole chickens, jerk tacos and quesadillas, jerk pizza and Reggae Rolls, a Jamaican twist on an egg roll.

This is the first of 12 planned locations that owner Winston Ferguson plans to open in metro Atlanta.
