Dîner en Blanc, the Paris born all-white picnic sensation, is coming to Atlanta on October 16. Consider it a fine dining flashmob where a sea of white clothing, tables, decor, etc will take over a very public space in Atlanta.

As the Atlanta website says,

"At the last minute, the location is given to thousands of friends and acquaintances who have been patiently waiting to learn the "Dîner en Blanc's" secret place. Thousands of people, dressed all in white, and conducting themselves with the greatest decorum, elegance, and etiquette, all meet for a mass "chic picnic" in a public space."

All guests will ride on the sponsored bus transportation to the location. And different from just any ordinary picnic, there are rules here. All guests must wear white, and bring their place setting (which also must be all white): a table, foldable chairs, a tablecloth, and picnic basket.

The dinner works as a co-op event, where people are invited only by receiving an invitation from a friend who is already a member of the organization. You also have the option to join the waiting list here, and  on Friday they will open registration to everyone and people on the waiting list will be able to able to fully register.

Guests are encouraged to bring their own picnic, however there will be meals available that you can purchase when registering. The beverage sponsor, Moet Ice Imperial champagne (comes with two goblets) is the only way to enjoy alcohol at the event, as you can’t bring outside alcohol in.
