2 days of free food samples, oysters and bubbly specials and more in metro Atlanta

Oysters and bubbly events in January. Free food samples. There are several fun, food events happening in metro Atlanta, so add one or all three of the following activities to your calendar. Be prepared to eat, drink and have a grand ole time.

Now through Jan. 28: il Giallo Osteria & Bar will feature half dozen oysters and a glass of bubbly for $19 from 5-7 p.m. every Sunday through Thursday in January. The menu will rotate daily, and oysters will be from various parts of the country; bubbly will include Proceco, Cava, champagne, sparkling wine and more.

Jan. 6-7: Celebrate 2018 with in-store meal samples ranging from slow cooker ideas like bone broth and a chili kit; sweet tooth cravings with apple crisps; and veggie noodles made with zucchini, butternut squash, beet, sweet potato and yellow squash from noon-4 p.m. at The Fresh Market .
