The new restaurant, which opened its doors earlier this week, features an Asian/Southern/Mexican fusion menu, including items such as kimchi rice, chicken and waffles and a variety of tacos and burgers.
Bad Dog, which opened in 2012 , was owned by Tracy Mitchell, who was charged in a fatal hit-and-run in November .
Dankbaar general manager Anthony Gould said the "current owner" has "stayed on board as a creative cultivator as her skill sets and knowledge around food are a substantial asset to the business," according to What Now Atlanta, though it's unclear if he's referring to Mitchell.
There's also no update on whether Bad Dog will open a location in Old Fourth Ward as previously planned.
The restaurant was featured on an episode of "Man vs. Food" last year.
