Home cooks and diners alike have one more reason to anticipate the opening of Peachtree Station in Chamblee. The Cook's Warehouse, a locally-owned cookware store and cooking school, is the latest tenant confirmed for the 11-acre retail project at 5001 Peachtree Blvd., at the intersection of Peachtree and Johnson Ferry Road.
The development, slated to open mid-2017, will be anchored by a 45,000-square-foot Whole Foods Market. It will also include more than a dozen other tenants, including Taqueria del Sol, Octane Coffee, Zoe’s Kitchen, YEAH! Burger, Tokyo Belly and Chipotle.
The Cook’s Warehouse in Chamblee will mark the fourth store for the brand. It also operates shops in East Cobb, Midtown and Decatur.
The Chamblee spot serves as the replacement for its Brookhaven Station store that shuttered in 2015. The new store will have a teaching kitchen for cooking classes as well as an outdoor patio for grilling classes and special events. Due to its proximity to Whole Foods and a noncompete clause on the sale of wine, it will not partner with Sherlock’s Wine Merchant as is the case at the Decatur location.
