Why should ITP-ers have all the holiday pop-up bar fun?

Red Sky Tapas & Bar at 1255 Johnson Ferry Road in Marietta is making sure OTP-ers don't have to travel all the way into the city this season with its holiday pop-up inspired by the classic film "A Christmas Story."

It's the third location of a holiday-themed pop-up announced for metro Atlanta -- Miracle will return for the season in Midtown with a second location in Inman Park. Midtown restaurant Bon Ton will also host Tiki-themed holiday beverage program Sippin' Santa.

Red Sky’s pop-up menu will offer tapas and entrees inspired by traditional holiday dishes including Orange Glazed Smoked Duck Breast with Cranberry Chutney and Turkey Leg Confit with Duck Gravy and cocktails such as Cranberry Mules, Spiked Eggnog and Vanilla Vodka Winter Wonderland.

The space, designed with Atlanta-based Northside Flower Imports and Jaime Roberts Design LLC, will feature an icicle-covered patio space with snow globes, kitschy holiday photo room, decorated Christmas trees and wreaths, oversized picture frames, themed props and holiday tunes. Be on the lookout for a leg lamp, an homage to the movie that inspired the pop-up.

The restaurant will also feature live music and dueling pianos.

The pop-up will run Nov. 20 - Dec. 31 during Red Sky’s regular business hours.
