A Buford Highway staple has closed its doors.

Chef Liu, which has been a favorite with its menu featuring Chinese dumplings and pastries for more than a decade, will be replaced by a new Chinese restaurant at 5283 Buford Highway in Doraville, Eater Atlanta first reported.

Signage for the new restaurant, called Hot Melody, was captured in a photo tweeted by the group We Love BuHi:

Chef Liu closed initially closed in March, with a sign saying the closure would be temporary due to construction.

Former AJC food writer John Kessler previously described Chef Liu’s Chinese crullers as “puffed and gorgeous...ready to dunk in a bowl of steaming soy milk,” while former AJC food editor Meridith Ford gave a nod to the pork fried dumplings (shiu mai), “perfectly pinched at the top like a little pouch or beggar's purse.”
