Whole Foods Market opens today in Kennesaw , and with it Hops 'n' Sauce, an in-store barbecue and beer venue.
The spot's offerings include BBQ jackfruit, baby back ribs, pulled pork and chicken, made with Marietta's Williamson Bros. spice rubs and signature, classic Carolina and chipotle sauces. Rotating local beers on draft will include selections from Cherry Street Brewing Coop, Scofflaw Brewery Co., Creature Comforts Brewing Co., and Abbey of the Holy Goats Brewery, as well as canned wine and cocktails.
This is the first of two planned Hops ‘n’ Sauce venues – the second is slated to open later this month in Hoover, Ala.
The Kennesaw Whole Foods will also feature Revelator Coffee, which recently bought Atlanta-based Octane Coffee and is also offered at the recently-opened Chamblee Whole Foods and Tori Bird by Genji featuring sushi and karaage, Japanese fried chicken tossed in sauces such as Yuzu Citrus Mayo, Orange Sauce, Curry Salt and Classic Texas BBQ. Another Whole Food restaurant concept, Brazilian-style churrasco The Roast opened at the Ponce de Leon location earlier this year.
Hops 'n' Sauce will be open from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. daily.
