At Chipotle Mexican Grill, eating burritos have philanthropic benefits.
From 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. Saturday, June 6, all Atlanta-area Chipotle restaurants will come together to highlight healthy menu offerings and support the Georgia Organics "My Market Program," which connects and encourages communities to shop at their local farmers markets regularly.
Diners opting to eat burritos, tacos and any other menu items at Chipotle that day will make a difference; the company will donate up to $10,000 to Georgia Organics based on sales. Guests of Chipotle in Decatur have even more incentive to eat there since Georgia Organics will give away free swag items and $5 market tokens good for use on local food and branded merchandise to the first 50 guests from 12-2 p.m.
The partnership makes sense for Chipotle, which recently announced that it now uses only non-GMO ingredients and actively supports local farming through their Food with Integrity commitment.
Participating Chipotle restaurants are located in Atlanta, Decatur, Lawrenceville, Alpharetta, Athens, Morrow, Marietta, Norcross, Roswell, Duluth, Kennesaw, Snellville, Buford, Cumming and Canton.
