PizzaFire in Town Brookhaven has closed, but plans to reopen with a new concept and name, Amore Cucina & Bar. The Brookhaven location of PizzaFire, an Ohio-based fast-casual pizza chain, opened in June 2016 . As Amore Cucina & Bar, the restaurant plans to switch to a full-service model offering pizza, pasta and salad, as well as weekend brunch.

PizzaFire officially announced its closing with a note to customers on its front door on Sunday, Tomorrow's News Today reports. The announcement teased the forthcoming restaurant as a partnership between the current leaseholders and "an award winning [sic], authentic Italian brand and world pizza champion and restaurateur..."

The same space, located at 804 Town Blvd., previously housed Treza, another fast-casual pizza concept, before standing vacant for nearly two years. Amore Cucina & Bar will be the third restaurant in the space since it was completed in 2011.
