A former Castleberry Hill Mexican restaurant has found a new home in East Atlanta.

Blu Cantina, which was located in Castleberry Hill for four years until it closed after a roof collapse in 2017 , is set to open today at 1242 Glenwood Ave. SE, Eater Atlanta first reported. The restaurant replaces Tomatillos, which closed last month and also served Mexican food.

The eatery will offer a "Latin American fusion" menu, according to press release, with a family-friendly atmosphere during the day and cocktails and music later at night. Dishes will include starters such as empanadas, queso and nachos' a variety of tacos including smoked chicken and grilled shrimp; a build your own burrito option; and fajitas. The drink menu includes several margaritas, cocktails, wine and beer, including some local selections.

"I’m thrilled that employees of both Blu Cantina and Tomatillos will have a new venue to continue to give Atlantans the service that they deserve," owner Corrina Martinez said is the press release.

The restaurant will be open noon-2 a.m. Monday-Saturday and 3 p.m.-midnight Sunday.
