Life can be sweet, but it can also be bitter. In Stephanie Danler's debut novel, Sweetbitter, she explores love, pain and life's sweet and bitter moments through twenty-two year old Tess, who's getting a taste of adult life and the restaurant industry.

Danler will be making an appearance at the Margaret Mitchell House on May 10 to discuss her bestseller. Sweetbitter was among the AJC's top food-centric summer reads last year.

Tickets are $10 for the public, $5 for Atlanta History Center members and free for AHC Insiders. To get tickets for the event visit here.
