A popular metro Atlanta ice cream shop is set to join some other highly-anticipated projects just off the Eastside Beltline.

Butter & Cream will open its third location in the StudioPlex development at 659 Auburn Ave. NE, just south of Irwin Street.

After opening its first location in Decatur in 2014, Butter & Cream expanded last year with a store in Roswell.

Owner Stacy Wisniewski's shop makes its own ice cream, sorbets, sauces, toppings, cookies and cakes , with rotating ice cream flavors including Freckled Chocolate, Blueberry Lavender and Milk Chocolate Stout.

Butter & Cream will be amongst several other high-profile projects slated for StudioPlex in 2018, including an unnamed project from O4W Pizza owner Anthony Spina ; Hawkers Asian Street Fare and Beetnix Juice Bar ; and cocktail and coffee bar The James Room from the team behind 18.21 Bitters.

Donald Trump's administration deployed the military to Washington, D.C., in the name of fighting crime, and in an Aug. 11 news conference he mentioned the possibility of military being sent to other large American cities, all of which are led by Black, Democratic mayors. And while Atlanta wasn't included in Trump's list, the city fits that profile under Mayor Andre Dickens. (Photo Illustration: Philip Robibero / AJC | Source: Getty)
