Not your mama's buns.
Betty Hsu's Baos Night begins at 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8 at Sweet Auburn BBQ . Every other week, guests can enjoy two hand-crafted baos for $5, including chopped brisket with chimichurri and smoked pork with barbecue sauce and onions while supplies last.
The event is named after Sweet Auburn BBQ's owner Howard Hsu's mother, Betty. It's her special recipe that helped create the dish, which mixes traditional Asian cooking with the restaurant's signature Southern barbecue.
