Midtown restaurant Article 14 closed its doors over the weekend after just less than four years in business. Located at 1180 Peachtree St. in Atlanta, Article 14 was owned by Legacy Property Group, the same team behind Stats, Der Biergarten and Max's Coal Oven Pizza .

A statement on the restaurant's website addresses the closure:

We would like to thank the thousands of of Atlanta who dined with us over the past several years at Article 14. A special thanks to the many businesses and professional groups that met weekly at our establishment for lunches, happy hours and corporate events. Unfortunately, Saturday, Feb. 27 will be our last day at 1180 Peachtree, our lease will be ending and we have chosen not to renew at this time.

Olmsted,  the event space attached to Article 14, is also closed. The Article 14 space was previously occupied by French restaurant Trois.

"Overall, Article 14 succeeds as an impressive cocktail-driven destination for locals, offering a nice range of enjoyable snacks and shared plates backed by a very strong bar program," Watson wrote. "With a little more tweaking to the execution of some of the dishes, it could become a destination for more than just the post-work law crowd. If you are in the area, it is certainly worth stopping by."
