How do you eat your pizza ? Forget the knife and fork. No need to fold that slice of pie. Soon, Atlantans will be able to bite into their Margherita the same way that they eat ice cream – from a cone.

“The Original” Kono Pizza is a fast-casual concept that offers cone-shaped breakfast, sandwiches, pizza and dessert cones. The portable pizza cone concept just inked an agreement with local franchisees Jala Roy and his wife Noorin to roll out 10 locations in Atlanta, marking Kono’s launch into the Peach State.

Locations in Atlanta will consist of a variety of store formats, including mobile carts and kiosks in area malls and retail stores. Initial locations are currently being selected and the first location is slated to open in the first quarter of 2016.

“The Original” Kono Pizza was established in 2013 in Edison, N.J. It has grown to 130 locations operating in 20 countries, with more than 20 additional locations in various stages of development across the U.S.
