Ann Capolino Brewer, known as a champion of Georgia farmers, a pillar of Georgia Organics, and a founder of the Morningside Farmers Market, is being fondly remembered in the wake of her passing Friday at the age of 85.
Southern Foodways Alliance director, John T. Edge, offers a fitting tribute from Nathalie Dupree in an SFA blog post. And the Covington News has a full article, "Ann Brewer: A legacy of service," online.
You can read more about Brewer and her work, and offer condolences, on the Morningside Farmers Market Facebook page.
Services for Ann Brewer will be Friday, Jan. 9, at The Church of the Good Shepherd, 4140 Clark Street, Covington. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall. Interment will be in the Covington City Cemetery.
