Duluth will join the list of metro cities that hosts an arts festivals.

Beginning in the spring, several Atlanta cities welcome local, regional and national artists to showcase their work at arts festivals. Created by the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces, the Duluth Arts Festival will feature similar entertainment, shopping opportunities and artist demonstrations. The organization is also responsible for the Old Fourth Ward and Piedmont Park Arts Festivals, Festival on Ponce and other local festivals.

The inaugural Duluth Arts Festival is scheduled to take place in the Duluth Town Green June 10-11.

Nearly 90 "painters, photographers, sculptors, metalwork, glass artists, jewelers and more" will participate in the festival, in addition to local food trucks, live musicians and other performers.

The festival is free to attend.
