glo founder-choreographer Lauri Stallings and her movement artists have officially launched one of the company's most ambitious works, "Search Engine."

The first phase of the site-specific, two-year project, which has started at Atlanta Contemporary Art Center but will migrate to another site or sites next year, achieved "activation," to use a glo term, on Sunday night.

“Search Engine” will be a continuous experience during its first week, running 24 hours a day until 1 a.m. Oct. 18, with the public welcomed to engage with glo’s artists. They will be moving to electronic and nature soundscapes and performing through a varied schedule of activities -- from grass trimming to smoothie making to blindfolded yoga.

Even before Sunday's night's launch, a temporary structure was created at an obscure spot on the Westside grounds of Atlanta Contemporary. The grassy hill will grow all the way until this first iteration of "Search Engine" is completed on Dec. 12.

The work includes ongoing programming of “choreographic situations, social engagement and contemplation,” according to glo.

Audiences may enter “Search Engine” at any hour, through Atlanta Contemporary’s Studio Artist Courtyard, without knowing what they will see or hear.

A glo release describes "Search Engine" as "an in-between space for collaboration, sensory journey and autonomous dreaming."
