The warm weather is expected to continue in Atlanta.

But first the metro area has to get through another cool morning, Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz said.

Temps are expected to drop to the 50s early Friday before warming. Sunshine and light winds are forecast.

Currently, the temperature is 65 degrees in Atlanta.

The air is comfortable, Burns said.

The entire winter is forecast to be dry and warmer than average, Channel 2 reported.

The winter outlook is “likely drier than average overall, but the pattern may favor ice in Northeast Georgia,” Nitz said.

Later this week, even higher temps are in the forecast.

Expect highs of 79 Friday and Saturday and 76 Sunday, when there is also a 20 percent chance of rain, Channel 2 reported.
