An evening stroll may not be a bad idea.

“If you’re out tonight, you’re in store for a very beautiful treat,” Channel 2 Action News Chief meteorologist Glenn Burns said. “The air is very dry and the dew points are in the mid 50s”.

A full harvest moon is also in the forecast.

With the humidity at 55 percent, temperatures should stay comfortable through the evening.

The current temperature is 74 degrees.

The Friday morning commute should be “comfortably cool,” Burns said, with few clouds.

Expect temperatures in the low 60s about 7 a.m. By noon, Atlanta should see 77 degrees and then reach the expected high of 83 degrees, according to Channel 2.

Warmer temps should remain through Saturday when the expected high is 80 with a 20 percent chance of rain, according to Channel 2.

Rain chances drastically increase as Tropical Storm Nate makes its way through the Carribbean and is expected to reach northwest Georgia late Saturday, Channel 2 reported. A 70 percent chance of rain is forecast Sunday and Monday.

Nate has the potential to become a Category 1 hurricane this weekend before making landfall near New Orleans, Channel 2 reported. The storm could bring between two and four inches of rain to metro Atlanta.

There is also risk of tornadoes in northwestern Georgia.

The storm should rapidly weaken as it heads to Mississippi and Alabama, Burns said.
