Late afternoon will bring the best chance of rain and scattered showers, Channel 2 Action News meteorologists say.

“We’ll top out in the mid 70s with the rain chance about 40 percent,” meteorologist Brian Monahan said.

Current temperatures are 78 degrees in Atlanta, 68 degrees in Blairsville and 79 degrees in Griffin.

Overnight rain washed away some of the pollen, which hit the highest levels of the year on Saturday. The pollen count is 1,826, according to atlantaallergy.com.
