Metro Atlanta has “a couple of more days” of low humidity and comfortable temps, "then we’re going to change back to summer — typical summer — weather," Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Karen Minton said Tuesday.

Currently, the temperature is 81 degrees in Atlanta.

“It’s always so pleasant when you step outside and you don’t feel that oppressive heat and humidity,” Minton said.

The metro area has had three days of temperatures in the 90s this month. Last year, there were 18 days of temps in the 90s in June.

“Not only do we deserve it,” Channel 2 meteorologist Brad Nitz said, “I’d say we earned it after last week. We had flooding, the tornado and severe thunderstorm threats.”

The only rain possibility Tuesday was in far North Georgia.
