Rain is back, metro Atlanta.

Scattered showers are expected to continue off and on from through the evening.

There is a 40 percent chance of showers Monday and a 30 percent chance Tuesday.

The best chances of seeing showers will be along I-85 and northwest of the interstate about 4 p.m., Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz said.

"And we’ll keep a few isolated showers (and) a rumble of thunder around through 8 p.m.,” Nitz said. “But after the sun sets, the last of these showers come to an end.”

Currently, the temperature is 83 degrees in Atlanta.

The high is expected to reach 86.

Under cloudy skies, welders continued work on the gateway arch elements in phase II of the Peachtree Bridge Enhancement project at the Brookwood Interchange on Monday, June 12, 2017. Showers are expected throughout the day, according to Channel 2 Action News. JOHN SPINK / JSPINK@AJC.COM.
