For a Halloween night, there’s nothing creepy in sight — at least when it comes to weather.

Temperatures climbed to 71 degrees Tuesday, bringing a warm start to trick-or-treating.

“Last Halloween was sweltering,” Channel 2 Action News Chief meteorologist Glenn Burns said. “There’s going to be light winds and it will be pleasantly calm” in tonight’s forecast.

Temps will fall to the 50s and 60s in North Georgia and the metro area, Burns said.

Wednesday’s weather calls for similar temps.

Atlanta will again wake up in the 40s, hitting the average low of 49 about 7 a.m., Channel 2 reported. A warm front is expected to push clouds into the metro area and bring light sprinkles to North Georgia throughout the day.

Clouds shouldn’t push out too much of the sunshine, however.

“It’s going to feel a bit more like summer heading into the weekend,” Burns said.

The city is expected to reach a high of 72 degrees, and highs should remain in the low 70s through Saturday.

There is a 20 percent chance of rain Friday and Saturday.
