Easter sunrise forecast for Stone Mountain Park and Atlanta

If you’re excitedly anticipating Easter this Sunday, know the weather will be on your side.

Those attending sunrise services at Stone Mountain Park can expect the temperature to be about 61 degrees at sunrise, which is set for 7:05 a.m., Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Karen Minton said.

Rain is not expected, but some showers could pop up in the North Georgia area later in the afternoon.

The high for Sunday is expected to be 81 degrees in Atlanta.

If you are attending the service at the top of Stone Mountain, dress in layers. If there is any wind, the wind chill before the sun is up feels colder than the thermometer.
