Foggy conditions didn’t keep Atlanta from hitting the 60s Wednesday.

Atlanta reached a high of 66 degrees, according to Channel 2 Action News. Currently, the temperature is 57.

Comfortable temperatures are expected to linger through the evening, but a cold front is expected overnight.

“Can’t rule out an isolated shower (Thursday) morning and then better rain chances as we head into afternoon,” Channel 2 meteorologist Brad Nitz said.

There is a 60 percent chance of rain Thursday, but that won’t lower temperatures. The expected high is 67 degrees.

But the nice weather isn’t expected to last.

“As we get toward the middle of next week, we’re going to see a big arctic blast covering much of the (eastern United States),” Channel 2 Chief meteorologist Glenn Burns said.
