For those craving a late night swim, the weather shouldn’t be a deterrent.
Aside from a 20 percent chance of spotty afternoon showers or thunderstorms, the rest of the day is expected to be dry, according to Channel 2 Action News.
“By 4 or 5 p.m., we’re hitting our high temperature of 94 degrees” in Atlanta, Channel 2 meteorologist Brad Nitz said Thursday.
The heat index, a measure of how it feels outside, could reach the triple digits in and around metro Atlanta, Channel 2 reported.

“By 8 o’clock, we’re still mostly clear and into the low 90s,” Nitz said.
