Chateau Elan Winery and Resort is worth a toast because of all of the attractions, which include golf, winery tours, spa, culinary demos, restaurants, shopping and more.

Oak barrels, used to age wine, line the walls of the winery's cask room.

Visitors learn about the process for making different types of wine as they pass by tall storage tanks used to hold the vino.

This is the vat room where harvested grapes are crushed and the juice is placed in storage tanks. Different varieties of grapes are blended here to produce a desired taste in the final product.

Chateau Elan also has culinary demonstrations which cost $20 a person and are held at 3 p.m. Saturdays.

Cooking ingredients are lined up for guests attending the culinary demos.

Participants also get complimentary chef's hats.

If your idea of fun is purple feet and squished grapes between your toes, then make plans to attend Chateau Elan's annual Vineyard Fest on Aug. 24th.

The winery also has an 18-hole golf course. Chateau Elan is just 40 minutes north of Atlanta. A round trip drive from the city takes just under a tank of gas.
