I want to try a new segment with coverage of Atlanta United in which I want your opinion on some key stats.

This week, it seemed natural to look at chances created after the Five Stripes created a season-high 21 chances from open play in Sunday’s 3-1 loss to D.C. United.

So, with help from Opta, I received the total of chances created from open play and created a chart that includes each team, chances created from open play, total goals scored (open play and set pieces) and points earned this season.

I wanted to compile this after something Atlanta United captain Michael Parkhurst said on Sunday:
