An NBA championship, a U.S. Open championship, a U.S. victory in the World Cup, a no-hitter and an 11-year-old playing in the U.S. Women's Open highlight this week's version of the sports week in photos.

The San Antonio Spurs halted the Miami Heat’s streak of NBA titles at two, with a resounding 104-87 home victory Sunday night in Game 5 of the NBA finals. John Brooks (heading ball into goal) was a halftime substitution for the U.S. World Cup team, but his goal in the 86th-minute propelled the United States to a 2-1 victory against Ghana on Monday in Natal, Brazil. Jameis Winston (center, wearing headband) enjoyed his BCS championship last season, and according to his dad, he’ll have two more shots to win another title at Florida State. Antonor Winston told AL.com Wednesday that his son will play at least two more seasons at FSU. “We want Jameis to succeed with one more year in baseball and two more years in football,” he said. “We’ve never strayed from our plan that he is going to be in college until he gets that degree.” He’s projected as a first-round pick of the NFL and MLB. He would be eligible for the NFL Draft after next season. “We have heard for him to go in the first round of the baseball draft then he will have to give up football,” Antonor Winston told the website. Clayton Kershaw has been a dominant pitcher for the Dodgers for a few seasons, winning the National League Cy Young Award in 2011 and 2013, but he never had pitched a no-hitter until Wednesday night. Kershaw struck out 15 Colorado Rockies batters, the most strikeouts without any walks recorded by a pitcher in a no-hitter. His 15 strikeouts are the most in a no-hitter since 1991 and are tied for third-most all-time. The most: Nolan Ryan’s 17 in 1973 followed by Ryan’s 16 in 1991.
