Listen: Commentator Alan Green discusses his Atlanta United gig

Alan Green's first game as Atlanta United's play-by-play man for Fox Sports Southeast will be on Saturday when the team hosts Columbus.

Green, a national radio soccer commentator with BBC Radio Sports since 1982, will sit alongside Dan Gargan for 13 more games.

In his distinguished career, Green has called the 1992 World Cup and the 1996 Summer Games in Atlanta, among the many notable events on his resume.

In this audio, Atlanta Journal-Constitution reporter Doug Roberson asks Green how he and Atlanta United formed a partnership, what it will be like going from covering the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Juventus to MLS, and his reputation as a tell-it-like-it-is commentator.
