Jacksonville State got on the scoreboard early in the second quarter of Saturday afternoon’s game against Georgia Tech at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

The Gamecocks drove 75 yards down the field in 8:11, capped off by a Bryant Horn 5-yard touchdown pass to Krenwic Sanders. That put Jacksonville State up 7-3 with 12:26 remaining in the half.

Tech caught a break late in the half when, Lawrence Austin picked off Horn and set the Yellow Jackets up at the Gamecocks’ 32-yard line.

Two plays later, senior Ricky Jeune fought through a defensive pass interference to haul in a 27-yard touchdown from TaQuon Marshall with 1:20 left in the half. That put the Jackets up 10-7 heading into halftime.
