Ben Garland remains listed with the first-team at right guard in the second official depth chart released by the Falcons on Monday.

Garland and Wes Schweitzer have been rotating with the first-team offense for the offseason and training camp. The Falcons must replace Chris Chester, who retired over the offseason.

Falcons coach Dan Quinn and offensive line coach Chris Morgan said the battle will continue through the exhibition games. Both Garland and Schweitzer played well in the opener against Miami, but no “clarity” was given about the position, Quinn said.

The Falcons are set to play at the Pittsburgh Steelers at 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Running back Devonta Freeman (concussion) and defensive end Martin Ifedi (ankle) have been declared out for the game.

(The team calls it ‘s depth chart ‘unofficial,” but since they release it, that makes it official.)
